To all those new starts you'd always imagine
And thought if happened you'd never regret,
while lying down in bed,
at 3am.
To all those surprises oh you so waited for to happen,
Longing to be surprised, by that so well expected and may I say so, needed, surprise.
To those scenarios, some possible and some oh so not.
To those alternative universes, parallel lives and differences you'd expect to see
That unforgotten would have been
And live and breathe life into them
from your dreams.
To all the changes you wanted to happen, even if you didn't try so much.
To all those new beginnings...that finally came. And started. And you lived them. And part of your life became.
To new turning points that brought stress and uncertainity.
Like all new situations bring, more if you're easier to get nervous about the unknown.
To all those new choices, that not all where your choices,
But oh well, what is truly and wholly your choice and only your own?
To those new lives and adventures and surprises you had to see, feel and live
But weren't all that you'd expected for.
To those that were really a catfish, may I say so.
To those new beginnings that brought fear and thought ah I was better off before...
To those new beginnings that didn't last long,
To the ones that their freshness was covered by something more...
stale.
To all those new beginnings that you started again and again and again
Till no excitement was left.
To all those new beginnings that followed the same paths.
To all those new yet old starts.
To all those beginnings with the same or similar ending lines.
To all those new lives that stuff from the old combine.
To the new surprises that turned old but you still had to act like they were newly found gold.
And to those new beginnings that were actually old,
But you thought were better, even though they were withered and worn.
To the re dos and the returns, to the need with the past to make amends.
To your life that isn't entirely your own.
To the fights, the battles, the struggles you have to deal on your own.
To you, the old you, the new you, the oldish new and the newish old.
To the one that right now feels withered and worn.
So that you know,
That evertthing you feel, you own.
So that you won't think
What you did wasn't so keen.
