To dream or not to dream
“Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist
well as J.K. Rowling said on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone , “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” This is true, as ideal as it seems, living in an iconic reallity is not the answer. Things will not change on their own.
On the other hand, when reallity is hard does a little bit of dreaming hurt anyone? Langston Hughes said “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” Also our dreams, our goals define us... no dream is immposible if we try.
Art is the same as dreaming, art depends on dreams and imagination, it creates a whole new world with its rules, itscharacters and its own life...
Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
― Thomas Merton, No Man Is an Island
